Helicopter-Assisted Tree Removal and Rigging Solutions

Heli-AX helps plan and execute tree care projects where access, terrain or surrounding infrastructure make removal challenging. We bring together helicopter-assisted removal, crane and traditional rigging, vegetation management, and crew training to match the needs of each site.

Helicopter tree removal, also called aerial tree removal, is one option within that approach. We work with project teams across North and South America to discuss the trees, access constraints, surrounding infrastructure and site conditions before selecting a method.

Helicopter Tree Removal

Consider an aerial approach when access is limited, the drop zone is constrained, or surrounding infrastructure complicates removal. Heli-AX brings tree care planning and rigging experience to helicopter-assisted projects.

Helicopter Lifting

Discuss a custom helicopter lift program for tree material or other materials when site conditions call for an aerial approach. Project requirements and the aircraft partner’s operating limits determine the scope.

Crane and Traditional Rigging

Long reach, tight quarters and limited drop zones require careful planning. Heli-AX works with project teams on load estimation, securement, balancing and rigging arrangements for tree removal.

Utility Vegetation Management and Complex Access

Tree work near utility infrastructure, occupied properties or environmentally sensitive areas requires an approach suited to the site. Explore utility vegetation management and complex-access tree removal, or discuss arboriculture and project consulting.

Damage Control on Berkeley Botanical Garden Emergency Removal Project

Creating a new process. Dubbed “hang and lift”, pre weighing load packages to 2000 lbs. and transfering them to the helicopter hook. Limited drop zone required the limbs to be removed first.

There is no drop zone below the tree, so we decided to “hang and lift”.

Even small picks at extreme radius are critical. Ensuring proper balancing and weight calculations are the difference between success and failure.
